OUTSTANDING POLLUTION AND SAFETY (OSEA) PROJECTS: All electrical, structural, and mechanical work necessary to upgrade existing housing to acceptable standards of livability. Includes installation of baths, interroom noise attenuation, improved personnel safety and energy conservation features. Also includes bedrooms, closets, centralized storage, laundry, kitchens, and support space. 11. REQUIREMENT: 58 PN ADEQUATE: 0 SUBSTANDARD: 0 REQUIREMENT: Los Angeles Air Force Station must provide adequate quarters CURRENT SITUATION: Unaccompanied officers must now pay exorbitant rates for apartments or motel rooms or they must accept facilities which do not provide the environment they require. The Station has recently acquired Fort MacArthur from the Army and now has the available real estate, lack of which has historically kept them from providing such facilities for its officers. IMPACT IF NOT PROVIDED: USAF personnel will continue to suffer extreme financial hardships with attendant impact on morale and retention. A.
