Associated administrative areas to support maintenance activities are also required to be situated in close proximity to the dock facilities. CURRENT SITUATION: An AFRES flying unit is being activated at the base. No covered facilities of any nature are available for the maintenance and fuel system work on the aircraft. Only interim facilities (located at the opposite end of the flightline) are available for the administrative functions. Until this project is complete aircraft maintenance and fuel system work will be accomplished on the apron.
