DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE JUSTIFICATION OF ESTIMATES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1983 APPROPRIATION: MILITARY CONSTRUCTION--AIR NATIONAL GUARD DETAILS OF THE FY 1983 APPROPRIATION PROGRAM Projects in the amount of $106,800,000 are requested for the Air National Guard Construction Program during Fiscal Year 1983 to finance urgent requirements consisting of operations, maintenance, training, and general support, facilities, and energy conservation projects at various locations. This continues the policy of the Air National Guard to provide only facilities essential to the training and operations of the Air National Guard. The line items for which funding clearance is requested in the appropriation program for Fiscal Year 1983 fall into the following construction categories: start of year Financing: 21.4001 Unobligated balance available, 24.4001 Unobligated balance available, end of year The funds estimated in this program are to provide financing as required for site selection, initial base master plans, and advance project planning for the construction requirements of the Air National Guard. The funds required for Advance Project Planning, $8,000,000 will provide for establishing project planning reports and final design for facilities, and for achieving full evaluation of each project in terms of technical adequacy and estimated costs.
