So I should like to ask the Army to take it up, followed by the Navy and then the Air Force, to answer that particular question, so that you may have it directly from the individual services.

OBLIGATIONS, 1950, DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY

General ARNOLD. The obligations as of December 31, 1949, Department of the Army, estimated were $1,916,624,610.

The obligations for the month of January 1950 were $314,794,850. The total obligations through January 31, 1950, are $2,231,419,460. The projected total obligations for the fiscal year 1950, based on 7 months' actual experience are $3,825,290,502, as shown in the following statement:
