57. Which is the fourth commandment?

A. The fourth commandment is, Remember the Sabbathday, to keep it holy. Six days fhalt thou labour, and do all thy work. But the feventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy Son, nor thy daughter, thy man-fervant, nor thy maid-fervant, nor thy cattle, nor thy ftranger that is within thy gates. For in fix days the Lord made heaven and earth, the fea, and all that in them is, and refted the feventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it g.

0.61 What is forbidden in the fourth commandment ? A. The fourth commandment forbiddeth the omiffion, or careless performance of the duties required o, and the profaning the day by idlenefs p, or doing that which is

A The fifth Commandment is, honour thy father and by mother; that thy days may be long upon the land who the Lord thy God giveth thee,v.

Q64. What is required in the fifth Commandment?

A. The fifth Commandment requireth the preferving the honour, and performing the duties belonging to every one in their feveral places and relations, as fuperiors w, inferiors x, or equals y.

Ezek. xxiii. 38. Moreover, this they have done unto me: they have defiled my fanctuary in the fame day, and have profaned my Sabbaths.
