If the form of prayer for prisoners in folitary confinement should be thought too long, it may be answered, that of all men they certainly have the greateft leisure for devotion. And if their reformation be the object of their confinement, it cannot be wrong, to induce them to dwell fo long upon a train of religious reflections, as to acquire a relish for prayer, and a more fervent Love for that God, whom they have offended.
