CHAPTER 678.

HOUSE BILL No. 157.

AN ACT to restore the right of suffrage to Daniel A. Landrum, of Pearl River county, Mississippi.

Restoring civil rights to Daniel A. Landrum.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the right of suffrage be, and the same is hereby restored to Daniel A. Landrum, of Pearl River county, who was convicted of petty larceny about eight years ago, in the circuit court of Pearl River county, and who has lived an upright and honorable life since his release.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

Approved March 28, 1922.

AN ACT to restore the right of suffrage to Hugh L. Gullett, a citizen of Prentiss county, Mississippi.

Restoring suffrage to Hugh L. Gullett.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the right of suffrage be and the same is hereby restored to Hugh L. Gullett, a resident citizen of Prentiss county, Mississippi.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.

AN ACT to restore the right of suffrage to Elbert Stokes, a citizen of Prentiss county, Mississippi.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the right of suffrage be and the same is hereby restored to Elbert Stokes, a resident citizen of Prentiss county, Mississippi.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION No. 1.

PROVIDING for a joint session of the Senate and House to receive the governor's message.

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring, that a joint session of the two bodies be held at 10:10 o'clock Wednesday, January 4th, to hear the message from his Excellency, Gov. Lee M. Russell.

CHAPTER 685.

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 3.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION memorializing the Congress, president and secretary of war of the United States of America, to accept and adopt the proposition of Hon. Henry Ford for the development of the Muscle Shoals war munition plant.

Memorializing Congress to adopt Henry Ford's Muscle Shoals proposition.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of the legislature of the state of Mississippi, that the proposition as made by the Hon. Henry Ford for the developments of Muscle Shoals war munition plant, is the most feasible yet made; and

WHEREAS, The advantages to be derived from his proposition would be most helpful and encouraging to the agricultural interests of the whole United States of America; therefore,

Be it Resolved, That the legislature of the state of Mississippi hereby memorializes, urges and requests the president of the United States, the secretary of war and the Congress of the United States to accept and adopt the proposition of the Hon. Henry Ford for the development and operation of the said Muscle Shoals war munition plant.

Be it further Resolved, That, upon the passage and approval of this resolution, the secretary of state of the state of Mississippi is hereby directed to furnish a certified copy of this resolution under the seal of his office to each, the president, the secretary of war and the clerk of each the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States.

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION No. 7.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION inviting Mrs. Maud Wood Park, president of the National League of Women's Voters to address a joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives of the state of Mississippi.

Inviting Mrs. Maud Wood Park to address the Legislature.

Be it Resolved by the Senate of the State of Mississippi, the House of Representatives concurring therein, That Mrs. Maud Wood Park, president of the National League of Women's Voters be invited to address a joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives at seven thirty o'clock P. M., January 11th, 1922, in the House of Representatives.

Passed the Senate January 6, 1922.

Passed the House of Representatives as amended, January 10, 1922.

CHAPTER 687.

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION No. 8.

A RESOLUTION providing for the appointment of a joint committee of the House and Senate to consider redistricting the state so as to lower the number of circuit judges, chancellors and district attorneys. Providing for a joint committee to revise judicial districts.

Be it Resolved by the Senate, the House concurring, That a joint committee consisting of five members on the part of the Senate and ten members on the part of the House be appointed as a special joint committee to consider redistricting the state so as to lower the number of circuit court districts and judges, chancery court districts and chancellors and district attorneys.

Passed the Senate January 11, 1922.

Passed the House of Representatives February 1, 1922.

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION No. 15.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION by the Senate and House of Representatives of the state of Mississippi, inviting Governor C. G. Brough to address a joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives at 7:30 p. m., January 26, 1922, in the House of Representatives.

SECTION 1. Be it Resolved by the Senate of the State of Mississippi, with the House of Representatives concurring, that Governor C. H. Brough be and he is hereby invited to address a joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives at 7:30 P. M., January 26th, 1922, in the House of Representatives.

WHEREAS, There is to be held in Jackson a session of the Southern Forestry Congress on February 6, 7 and 8, 1922, and

WHEREAS, The legislature desires information on the subject of forestry and conservation, therefore be it

Resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring that the said Congress be requested to have selected members address the legislature in the Hall of Representatives at 8 P. M., Wednes day, February 8th, said addresses to be generally informative without advocacy or opposition to any measure which may now bę pending before the legislature.

CHAPTER 690.

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION No. 29.

À CONCURRENT RESOLUTION to correct an error in Senate Bill No. 254. Correcting error in Senate Bill No. 254 as to Pike county bond issue.

Be it Resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring, That the secretary of the Senate and clerk of the House of Representatives be and they are hereby authorized to make a correction of Senate Bill No. 254 which has passed both Houses, been enrolled and signed by the presiding officer of each House, by inserting in the enrolled bill, before sending to the governor for signature, the figures "35" instead of "36" in the first line of the description of the lands, as it appears in the preamble of the enrolled copy of said Senate Bill.
