Tenth chancery district court terms in.

Sec. 4. That the terms of chancery court in the counties comprising the tenth chancery court district of the state of Mississippi, shall be as follows:

In the county of Lawrence, on the third Monday of January, twelve days, on the third Monday of July, twelve days.

In the county of Pearl River, on the second Monday of February, twelve days, and the second Monday of August, twelve days.

In the county of Forrest, on the third Monday of March, eighteen days, and the first Monday of September, twenty-four days.

In the county of Marion, second Monday of April, twelve days, and the first Monday of October, twelve days.

In the county of Covington, on the fourth Monday of April, twelve days and the fourth Monday of October, twelve days.

In the county of Simpson, on the second Monday of May, twelve days, and the second Monday of November, twelve days. In the county of Smith, on the fourth Monday of May, twelve days, and the fourth Monday of November, twelve days.

In the county of Jefferson Davis, on the second Monday of June, six days, and the second Monday of December, six days.

In the county of Lamar, on the third Monday of June, twelve days, and the third Monday of December, six days. Hemingway's code, sec. 458.

Sec. 5. That the terms of the circuit court in the counties comprising the twelfth circuit court district of the state of Mississippi shall be held as follows:

In the county of Forrest, on the first Monday of January, thirty-six days; on the fourth Monday in April, forty-eight days, and on the second Monday of October, thirty days; no grand jury to be drawn or empannelled at the January term unless ordered by the Judge.

In the county of Jones, first district, third Monday of February, twelve days, and first Monday of September, twelve days.

In the county of Jones, second district, on the fourth Monday in March, twenty-four days, and on the third Monday of July,

twenty-four days, and the third Monday of November, thirty days. No grand jury to be drawn at the July term unless ordered by the judge.

In the county of Perry, on the first Monday in March, eighteen days, and the third Monday of September, eighteen days. Repealing clause.

Sec. 6. That all laws or parts of laws in conflict with this act be and the same are hereby repealed.

Sec. 7. That this act take effect and be in force from and after the first Monday of July, 1922.

HOUSE BILL No. 849.

AN ACT to amend chapter 105 of the laws of 1910 as amended by chapter 138 of the laws of 1920, so as to change the time of holding circuit court in Wayne county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That chapter 105 of the laws of 1910 as amended by chapter 138 of the laws of 1920, be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:

Chapter 105-In the county of Wayne, on the first Monday in July and January, eighteen days.

In the county of Lauderdale, on the first Monday in February, twenty-four days for criminal business only, and on the fourth Monday of March for civil business exclusively, thirty-six days, and on the first Monday in August for crim nal business exclusively twenty-four days. And on the fourth Monday in September thirty-six days for civil business only.

In the county of Clarke, on the first Monday of March and September, eighteen days.

In the county of Greene, on the second Monday of May and November, eighteen days.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the chancery courts of the ninth chancery district of Mississippi shall be held at the time and places as follows, to-wit:

In the county of Washington, first Monday of March and October, twenty-four days.

In the county of Sunflower, first Monday of May and December, eighteen days.

In the county of Issaquena, fourth Monday of April and November, six days.

In the county of Humphreys, third Monday of January, twelve days, and second Monday of June, twelve days.

In the county of Sharkey, first Monday of February, six days, and fourth Monday of June, six days.

In the county of Warren, first Monday of April, eighteen days; first Monday of September, twenty-four days; first Monday of January, twelve days.

Repealing clause.

Sec. 2. That all laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. That this act take effect and be in force ninety days from and after its passage.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the time for holding terms of circuit court in Franklin county be and the same are hereby fixed for the third Monday in January and the first Monday in September of each year, eighteen days.

Repealing clause.

Sec. 2. That this act takes effect and be in force from and after its passage, and that all laws in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

AN ACT amending an act entitled, "An Act fixing dates for holding terms of circuit court in Franklin county."

Changing time of circuit court in Franklin county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That House Bill No. 99 of the acts of 1922, be amended so as to read as follows: That the time for holding terms of circuit court in Franklin county, be and the same are hereby fixed for the third Monday in January, twelve days. Fourth Monday in April, twelve days, and the fourth Monday in August eighteen days.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage and that all laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith be repealed.

SENATE BILL No. 391.

AN ACT to repeal section 1 (A) of chapter 268 of the laws of 1914 fixing a civil and criminal week for each term of circuit court in Tallahatchie county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That section 1 (A) of chapter 268 of laws of 1914, section 464, Hemingway's code be and the same is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2 That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

AN ACT to provide for the first six days of all terms of the circuit court in the second judicial district of Tallahatchie county shall be devoted to civil business only.

Fixing civil terms of court in Tallahatchie county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the first six days of all terms of the circuit court in the second judicial district of Tallahatchie county shall be devoted to civil business only; provided, however, that a grand jury shall be impanelled with all powers incident thereto.

Sec. 2. All acts or parts of acts in conflict with this act are hereby repealed; and this act shall take effect and be in force. from and after its passage.

SENATE BILL No. 223

AN ACT to so amend section 1 of chapter 134 of the laws of 1920 as to provide for three weeks civil term of the circuit court of Holmes county, Mississippi.

Counties composing district.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That section 1 of chapter 134 of the laws of 1920 be amended so as to read as follows:

The fourth circuit court district of the state of Mississippi shall be composed of the following counties to-wit: Leflore, Washington, Holmes, Sunflower, and Humphreys counties, and the terms of court shall be held in each of the said counties as follows:

Leflore county.

In the county of Leflore, on the third Monday of January, twenty-four days; the first six days for civil business, when a grand jury shall be convened, and the last eighteen days for criminal business; on the third Monday of May, twenty four days, the first eighteen days for civil business, when a grand jury shall be convened, and the last six days for criminal business; on the second Monday in November, eighteen days, the first twelve days for civil business, when a grand jury shall be convened and the last six days for criminal business.
