PROPOSAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONCERNING REIMBURSEMENT FOR NAVY INITIATED
ECP'S AND VALUE ENGINEERING REMAIN A PART OF OUR OFFER. THESE CLAUSES ARE
STANDARD ASPR CLAUSES, CONSISTENT WITH NAVY PROCUREMENT POLICIES, AND
HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN PREVIOUS CONTRACTS WITH NADC.

5. BASED ON PROGRAMATIC AND TECHNICAL DISCUSSIONS WITH NADC, IT IS
CLEAR THAT THE SCOPE OF WORK BEING PROPOSED BY HUGHES WILL SATISFY THE
CURRENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM NEED. ADDITIONALLY, THE HUGHES OFFER IS IN
FULL AGREEMENT WITH THE TELEPHONIC MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION OF 18 DECEMBER
1979 BETWEEN CAPTAIN W. D. POCKINGTON OF NAVAIR 533 AND DR. N. H. ENENSTEN
OF HUGHES.

In response to subject RFP, transmitted herewith is an original and one (1) copy of a fixed price proposal for CV-ASWM DITEG. The proposal consists of this letter and the following attachments:

A Technical Discussion describing the implementation of this effort is being forwarded to NADC under separate cover.

The cost and delivery schedule for the work proposed herein may be considered firm for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of this proposal and, together with the terms and conditions and other data contained herein, shall be the basis for negotiation of a fixed price contract with the Hughes Aircraft Company.

On page 36, reference is made to ASPR 7-104.89 "Engineering Change Proposals".
In connection with this clause, any cost incurred by the Contractor on any
ECP which is requested by the Government and not ultimately approved is to
be a reimbursable item under the contract.

7. Special Provisions for Design, Fabrication and Assembly

a.

Circuit Card design, manufacture, test and delivery shall be in accordance with Hughes Specifications No. 780243 and 780246. Changes in a card design shall be implemented by mating wire changes to the card or by etching. The maximum number of added wires allowable shall be six,

this limit. Modules having wires in excess of the above limit shall
be allowable for use in all testing specified in this contract provided
the end item equipment meets specified functional and performance re-
quirements. The Contractor shall replace such physically nonconforming
modules within 180 days after delivery with modules meeting the require-
ments of the Specifications 780243 and 780246.

The requirement for wire wrap and termipoint type wiring shall be per Hughes GSG Specifications 780491 for hand-wired assemblies and 780434 for termipoint type wiring.

Interior Wiring Interior wiring is that which exists entirely within
a single enclosure used to interconnect chassis or subassemblies or
to connect chassis or subassemblies to external connectors. Leads
shall be marked by one of the following methods. This requirement
does not apply to wire wrap, termipoint, or flat ribbon cable wiring.

(1)

Having the proper wire designation printed on the wire at
intervals throughout its entire length.

(ii) Being color coded continuously throughout its entire length.
(iii) Having white plastic sleeves or tubes of material over the
wire at each end marked with the proper wire marking.

NOTE:

When methods (i) and (iii) are used, the identification shall consist of the combined terminal designation for the two points connected by the wire arranged so that the terminal to which the wire is attached has its designation nearest to the terminal. Brazing Brazing of cooling system components shall be as specified by MIL-B-7883, Type I, Grade B.

Repair of minor defects in aluminum cold plate castings shall be per
QQ-A-601 for materials and techniques.

Lacing and tying requirements shall be per MIL-S-23190.

8. Bends in resistor leads, prior to weld, are authorized.

9. Mutually agreed to Energy Crisis Clause.
