11.0 Operation data for GSE/STE shall be included in the respective maintenance publication wherein the need for such equipment is identified. The publications for GSE/STE shall contain maintenance and parts as required by the type of publication specified.

12.0 Troubleshooting procedures shall be prepared and displayed within each maintenance chapter of a narrative maintenance publication. The type of troubleshooting diagrams within the specification to be used will be determined by the Contractor and, upon approval by the Government, will be that method determined the most logical for the specific equipment covered. 13.0 Any Government furnished data will be used as furnished and is not subject to validation by the Contractor. If the Contractor suspects/ determines that such data is inaccurate/inadequate, he shall request direction from the Contracting Officer citing the suspected inadequacies/inaccuracies. 14.0 Metric/Inch conversion equivalents shall be included in descriptive tabular listings.

15.0 When text material is not combined with a related illustration, the text shall be printed on right hand pages and associated illustration(s) shall appear on left hand pages.

16.0

Special tools, TMDE and Test Equipment required for maintenance tasks shall be listed in tabular alpha numeric order within Chapter 1 of narrative maintenance publications. Each item shall be listed with a reference designator (e.g., T30, T42, etc.), applicable part number, and a short nonvernacular name.

17.0

Personnel requirements will be identified to the MOS series.

18.0 Data required by MIL-M-63038A (TM) pertaining to service upon receipt of material shall include those items which require special handling and/or depreservation procedures.

19.0

Data required by MIL-M-63038A (TM) for preparation and storage of material shall address those items for which fully reusable shipping containers are being developed as part of this contract.

20.0 Wherein Parts 2 through 6 or this Section specify MIL-M-63038A (TM), the publications shall be organized using the criteria of the basic document and the associated criteria contained in MIL-HDBK 63038-1 and -2, except as noted.

21.0

Content and format selection summary checklist detailing minimum requirements for narrative maintenance publications specifying MIL-M-63038A (TM) is attached as Figure 1.

PDEP and DEP narrative text will be produced with legible text body double spaced, single column, justified one and one-quarter (1 1/4) inch wide left margins, unjustified right margins, clean ten (10) point type, of style and font to be determined by the Contractor. Double spacing will be used between copy divisions and subdivisions. Lettering used on schematic diagrams or similar type graphic displays, will not be smaller than eight

(8) point after reduction. Style and type of font for such lettering will be determined by the Contractor. For PDEPs, information considered for multiple experience level coverage, as outlined in MIL-HDBK 63038-1, will be distinctively identified in a manner selected by the Contractor to differentiate from other text material. In DEPS, the multiple experience level coverage will be highlighted by either underlining or bold face type as determined by the Contractor.

22.1 Publications will not exceed 500 sheets of paper (or 1000 pages including any blank pages) in a single volume. When a basic publication constitutes more than one (1) volume, each volume will be identified by an ascending dash numerical suffix to the basic publication number (e.g., 1, -2, -3, etc.).

Format for Contractor prepared Maintenance Allocation Charts (MACS) shall be provided by the Government.

1.8 The TM 55-1510-XXX-10 Operator's manual will be a complete system manual describing operational procedures for the air vehicle system, mission equipment, ground control station, launcher subsystem, recovery subsystem, and associated system support equipment. The Preventive Maintenance Check and Services (PMCS) data in this publication will reflect the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategy applied within the LSAR program.

1.9 The TM 55-1510-XXX-23 Maintenance and 23P parts manual will be a systems manual describing AVUM and AVIM maintenance procedures for the air vehicle system and interface data for the GCS launcher subsystem, recovery subsystem, and electronic equipment. The maintenance procedures will conform to the results of the approved FEA, LSAR, MAC and RPSTL.

1.10 The TM 55-XXXX-XXX-24 Maintenance and 24P parts manual will be a systems manual describing ORG, DS & GS maintenance procedures for the launcher subsystem, recovery subsystem, and interface data for the air vehicle, GCS and electronic equipment. The maintenance procedures will conform to the results of the approved FEA, LSAR, MAC and RPSTL. ORG, DS & GS maintenance procedures for each subsystem will be a separate chapter. Functional group codes will correspond to the subsystem chapter.

The TM 55-XXXX-XXX-13 & P manuals will be prepared for GSE and special test equipment as identified by the Contractor and approved by the procuring activity.

1.12 The TM 55-1510-XXX-S will be a complete manual providing for both logistic shipment and tactical deployment of the RPV System. The manual will utilize both metric and conventional system. Foldout pages will be acceptable, however, accessing will not be required.

1.13 Data shall be provided only in the following columns of the RPSTL: a. Illustration (Figure Number and Item Number).

1.9 The DEP TM11-XXXX-XXX-20, -23, -34 maintenance manuals and -23P, -24P RPSTLS will be complete electronic equipment manual(s) for a designated system/subsystem. These manuals will contain only the interface between and among other RPV

system manuals necessary for continuity. Maintenance procedures for each subsystem peculiar "black box" shall be included as applicable.

1.10 The technical manuals shall conform to the results of the approved FEA and shall be prepared concurrently with the Extension Training Materials (ETM) called for under this contract.

1.11 Data on all auxiliary, GFE, or CFE items shall be provided by the Contractor and shall be included in the submitted manuscripts.

1.12 Appendix A (references) to the manuals shall be furnished by the Government 30 days prior to scheduled manuscript submission.

1.13 Reliability Centered Maintenance Strategy (RCMS) will be furnished by
CERCOM for use in preparing Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services
(PCMS) charts.

1.14 Title and number of all technical manuals cited shall be provided by the Government.

1.15 DEP TM11-XXXX-XXX-12, Operator/Maintenance, -34 Maintenance, and -24P RPSTLS shall be prepared for Ground Support and Special Test Equipment as identified by the Contractor and approved by the procuring activity.

.1.16 The following additional requirements pertain to preparation of RPSTLS referenced above.

a. Illustration identification numbers (IINs) (para 3.1.7 of MIL-M63001E (TM) shall be provided to the Contractor and used in TM 11 Series publications.

b. Dualized method of illustrating in accordance with paragraph 3.1.7.1.1 and Figures 13 and 14 of MIL-M-63001E shall apply.

c. Establish one (1) illustration at its first appearance for identical multiple use groups/subgroups (i.e., major component, modules, assemblies, subassemblies). For the table of contents for the succeeding appearances, list the GCS, title, and reference back to the initial group code or illustration.

1.0 Preliminary Draft Equipment Publications specified in Parts 2 and 3 of this Section shall be available for use during Contractor and Government DT as scheduled in this contract. Government comments resulting from use of these Preliminary Draft Publications shall be incorporated by the Contractor into the resulting publications produced as Draft Equipment Publications, at no additional cost to the Government.

2.0 The Contractor shall submit to the Government 15 copies of draft equipment publications, 30 days prior to start of Government maintainability/ evaluation demonstration.

3.0 Draft Equipment Publications, fifty (50) copies (Parts 2 and 3) and changes thereto (50) copies shall be available for training for OT II and shall be delivered NLT sixty (60) days prior to the start of OT II. Distribution shall be made by the Contractor as directed by the Contracting Officer. Delivery of draft equipment publications shall be accomplished by letter.
