In obedience to the directions of the “ Act supplementary to the act to establish the Treasury Department," the Secretary of the Treasury respectfully submits the following report:

I. OF THE PUBLIC REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES.

The receipts into the Treasury, from all sources of revenue, during the year 1827, were

- $22,966,363 96 The expenditures for the same year, including public debt, were

- 22,656,764 04

The balance in the Treasury on the 1st January, 1828, was 6,668,286 10 The receipts from all sources, during the year 1828, were 24,789,463 61
