THE WESTMINSTER ASSEMBLY'S

SHORTER CATECHISM,

With short explanatory Notes and copious Scripture Proofs and Illustrations.

This excellent Catechism has stood the test of ages. It was composed nearly 170 years ago by more than 100 ministers at Westminster in England. It is called The Shorter Catechism, to distinguish it from a larger one, made by the same Assembly. It has probably done ten times more good than any volume written by an uninspir ed, and is undoubtedly the best Catechism in existence

The Notes are mostly those of Dr. Watts, which have been found so useful to explain to the young learner the meaning of important words and phrases.

It is confidently hoped that this edition of the Assembly's Catechism will be found at least as valuable for children as any in print; and that young people will derive much instruction, and Christians unspeakable satisfaction from carefully consulting the numerous Scriptures referred to.
