This curious work, published originally in 1598, is particul teresting; one of the chapters being "A comparative Disco our English Poets, with the Greek, Latin, and Italian Poets," it Shakspeare is thus noted," As the soule of Euphorbus was t to live in Pythagorus, so the sweete wittie soule of Ovid lives mellifluous and hony-tongued Shakespeare, witness his Ven Adonis, his sugred sonnets among his private friends, &c."
