These funds are advanced by foreign governments and/or private organizations for purchase of films owned or controlled by the Agency. The Agency placed orders with domestic film-processing companies to make copies of such films for which payment is made from this account (22 U.S.C. 1431 et seq.; 22 U.S.C. 1479).

Contributions for Special International Programs:

Contributions are received from non-Federal sources, primarily business concerns, for use at international exhibitions (70 Stat. 778)--Contributions for Educational and Cultural Exchange:

Contributions are received from non-Federal sources for the procurement and shipping of books to overseas missions for presentation to schools, libraries, reading rooms, and individuals (75 Stat. 527) –
