I will pursue it with Mr. Bates before the Rules Committee, and we will bring it up as soon as we can, and the committee

Mr. BATES. Mr. Chairman, I would like to make one request.

The request is that all members be given 5 legislative days in which to vote on this particular bill.

The CHAIRMAN. I also want to make an announcement, that on 412, if we get the bill out at all, I am going to have to enforce the rules of the committee on not more than 10 minutes-what is it, 10 minutes allocated?

Mr. KELLEHER. Yes, sir.

The CHAIRMAN. We are just going to have to do that, so that we will have our questions concise is our minds. That will expedite the consideration. It will be easier on the witnesses, and I want the committee members to prepare themselves for their interrogations. They will have to do this.

But, for the moment, this is all we have, so that we can give some of the subcommittees an opportunity to work, and so the committee is recessed subject to the call of the Chair.

Thank you, gentlemen.

(Whereupon, at 12:32 p.m., the committee adjourned subject to the call of the Chair.)
