REGULATIONS OF THE SUPREME COURT LIBRARY.

HOURS.

1. The library shall be open from 8 A. M. to 5 P. M. daily except Sunday and legal holidays; from 7 to 10 P. M. except Saturday, Sunday, and legal holidays, during the sessions of court.

LOANS WHO MAY BORROW.

2. Books may be loaned to the judges of the various courts, members of the bar of Oregon, State officers, and members of the Legislative Assembly; but the following books shall be reserved for use in the library: The latest editions of dictionaries and encyclopedias, unbound periodicals, Oregon briefs, Oregon statutes, and such books as the librarian may deem rare. The latest editions of the codes and digests of other states may be retained not longer than two days.

PERIOD OF LOAN.

3. No book shall be kept out of the library for a period greater than one month, and all books so loaned are subject to recall at any time when required for use in the Supreme Court library.

RECORD.

4. No book shall be taken from the library until recorded by the librarian or by an assistant.

BOOKS TO BE REPLACED.

5. Any book not returned after 15 days' notice shall be considered lost, in which case the borrower shall be required to replace it, or forfeit the privileges of the library.

CARE OF BOOKS.

6. Books must be handled with care.

Leaves must not be

turned down, and no marks with ink, pencil, or otherwise shall be made on the margins or text.

SMOKING.

7. There shall be no smoking in the library.
