• Their Inheritance shall be for ever: And they shall receive a Crown of Glory that fadeth not away.

• He that fitteth on his Throne in Heaven shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more ; neither shall the Sun light on them, nor any Heat: For the Lamb which is in the midst of the Throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living Fountains of Waters; and God Ohall inake them drink of the River of his pleasures. God shall wipe away all Tears from their Eyes; and there thall be no more Death, neither Sorrow, nor Crying, neither shall there be any more Pain: For the former Things are passed away; and behold all Things are made new.

Blessed are they that do the Commandinents of God; that they may have right to the Tree of Life, and may enter in through the Gates into the Holy Ciiy, new Jerusalein. There shall be no Night there, and they need no Candle, neither Light of the Sun ; for the Lord giveth 'them Light, and they shall reign for ever and ever."

4 Eye hath not seen, nor Ear heard, 'neither have entered into the Heart of Man, the Things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

· Having therefore these Promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all Filihine's of Flesh and Spirit; perfecting Holiness in the Fear of God.

PUNISHMENTS to the WICKED.

• The Lord Maall reward the Doer of Evil ac. cording to his Wickedness.

Fools, because of their Transgression, and because of their Iniquities, are afflicted. Many Evils and Troubles ihall befal them. The Lord

. will heap Mischiefs upon them; he will spend bis Arrows upon them, and vex them with all Adversity ; because they corrupt themselves, and do evil in the Sight of the Lord.

Is not Destruction to the Wicked, and a Atrange Punishinent to the Workers of Iniquity ?

Let Favour be shewed to the Wicked, yet will they not learn Righteousness. In the Land of Uprightness will they deal unjustly, and will not behold the Majesty of the Lord. Therefore he that made them will not have Mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no Favour.

* They that plow Iniquity, and fow Wickedness, fhall reap the same. The Lord shall bring upon them their own Iniquity, and shall cut thein off in their own Wickedness.

Whosoever hath sinned against me, faith the Lord, him will I blot out of my

out? and how oft cometh their Destruction upon them? God distributeth Sorrows in his Anger. God layeth up his Iniquity for his Children: He rewardeth him, and he shall know it. His Eyes fhall see his Destruction ; and he shall drink of the Wrath of the Almighty. For what Pleafure hath he in his House after him, when the Number of his Months is cut off in the midst ?

a Knowest thou not this of old, since Man was placed upon Earth, that the triumphing of the Wicked is short, and the Joy of the Hypocrite but for a Moment? Though his Excellency mount up to the Heavens, and his Head: reach unto the Clouds; yet he shall perish for ever, like his own Dung. "They which have seen him fhall say, Where is he? Though Wickedness be sweet in his Mouth, it is the Gall of Asps within him. In the Fulness of his Sufficiency he shall be in Straits; every Hand of the Wicked shall come upon him, The Increase of his House shall depart, and his Goods shall flow away in the Day of his Wrath; he shall not save of that which he desired. This is the Portion of a wicked Man from God: and the Heritage appointed unto him by God.

b If thou wilt not hearken unto the Voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his Commandments and his Statutes : Cursed shalt thou be when thou comeft in, and cursed fhalt thou be when thou goeft out. The Lord shall send upon thee Curling, Vexation, and Rebuke, in all that thou settest thine Hand unto for to dor;

because of the Wickedness of thy Doings, whereby thou hast forsaken him.

c Thou shalt not prosper in thy Ways : Neither shall thy Substance continue ; neither fhalt thou prolong the Perfection of it upon the Earth. 4. The Defire of the Wicked fhall perish. They look for Peace, but no Good cometh ; and for a Time of Health, but behold Trouble. For their Sins have withholden good Things from them :

And the Things that the Lord hath given them shall pass away from them, and he will curse their Bleflings.

e They thall eat of the Fruit of their own Way, and be filled with their own Devices. The Prosperity of Fools shall destroy them.

? The Lord will make them contemptible and bare before all the People, according as they have not kept his Ways; and he will change their Glory into Shame.

& His own Iniquities shall take the Wicked himself. Tle Steps of his Strength fhall be Araitened, and his own Counsel shall cast him down. For God shall caft upon him, and not spare ; Men shall clap their Hands at him, and thall hifs him out of his Place.

* The Face of the Lord is against them that do Evil, to cut off the Remembrance of them from the Earth. And a Man shall not be esta. blished by Wickedness.

Governors

Governors are sent by God for the Punithment of Evil-doers. And they bear not the Sword in vain : For they are the Ministers of God, to execute Wrath upon him that doth Evil.

k The Law is not made for a righteous Man, but for the Lawless and Disobedient, for the Ungodly and for Sinners, for the Unholy and Profane, for Murderers, for Whoremongers, for Liars, for Perjured Persons; and if there be any other Thing that is contrary to found Doctrine.

? The Way of Transgressors is hard.

m The wicked Man travelleth with Pain all his Days. Trouble and Anguish fhall prevail against him. Terrors thall make him afraid on every

Side: A dreadful Sound is in his Ears; and he is in great Fear where no Fear is.

* He shall find no Ease nor Rest. For the Lord fhall give him a trembling Heart, and failing of Eyes, and Sorrow of Mind. And his Life Thall hang in Doubt before him; and he shall fear Day and Night, and shall have none Assurance of his Life. In the Morning he shall say, Would God it were Even ; and at Even he thall say, Would God it were Morning; for Fear of his Heart, wherewith he shall fear. His Life shall be grievous unto him.
