Mr. SKEEN. How much of the fiscal year 1995 appropriation for ACP will be spent for annual type conservation practices and how much will be spent for long-term agreements?

RESPONSE. Of the fiscal year 1995 ACP appropriation, $74 million has been allocated to States for annual type practices and $10 million for long-term agreements. Mr. SKEEN. Did you approve any new ACP practices in fiscal year 1994? RESPONSE. Yes. Practice WP9, Composting, was added as a separate practice to encourage producers to utilize this innovative method of dealing with agricultural waste. Composting was previously a component of practice WP4, Agricultural Waste Control Facilities.

Mr. SKEEN. Provide a table similar to the one that appears on pages 280 and 281 of last year's hearing record showing the ACP practices, cost shares, and percent of total cost shares for fiscal year 1994.

Mr. SKEEN. The budget request of $50 million for fiscal year 1996 will allow practices on 2.2 million acres, preventing approximately 6.7 million tons of soil from eroding, and saving 133,000 acre-feet of water. How does this compare to fiscal years 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1995?
