Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

Clerical assistance to Senators who are not chairmen of the committees specifically provided for herein, as follows: Seventy clerks at $3,900 each; seventy assistant clerks at $2,400 each, and seventy assistant clerks at $2,220 each, $596,400. Such clerks and assistant clerks shall be ex officio clerks and assistant clerks of any committee of which their Senator is chairman.

For reporting the debates and proceedings of the Senate, payable in equal monthly installments--

For repairs, improvements, equipment, and supplies for Senate kitchens and restaurants, Capitol Building and Senate Office Building, including personal and other services, to be expended from the contingent fund of the Senate, under the supervision of the Committee on Rules, United States Senate__.
