Anfw. The Conclufion of the Lord's Prayer, which is, For thine is the Kingdom, thePower, and the Gloyy for ever, Amen, teacheth us to take our Encouragement în Prayer from God only, and in our Prayers to praise him, afcribing Kingdom, Power, and Glory to him And in Teftimony

And albeit the fubftance of the doctrine compri fed in that abridgment commonly called, The Apoftles Creed, be fully fet forth in each of the Catechifms, fo as there is no neceffity of inferting the Creed it felf, yet it is here annexed, not as though it were compofed by the Apoftles, or ought to be efteemed canonical Scripture, as the Ten Commandments, and the Lord's Prayer, (much lefs a prayer, as ignorant people have been apt to make both it and the Decalogue) but because it is a brief fum of the Chriftian Faith, agreeable to the word of God, and anciently received in the Churches of Chrift,
