It comprises seventy-eight leaves printed on one side, (156 pages) on fine plate paper, embracing over 1000 different designs, combinations of letters, examples of German Text, Old English, Script, &c., over 2000 different letters. A book of great use to Engravers, Jewelers, Coach, Sign and Decorative Painters, Card Writers, Die Sinkers, and Designers generally. It abounds in designs of practical utility, so that the album may be kept as a pattern and reference book-assisting in the selection of a design as well as furnishing ideas and uggestions to the invention of an artist. The designs are after eminent French artists, and she book containing two sets of monograms, of different styles, and produced on such good tpaper, forms not only the most complete, but the best, handsomest, and withal, the cheapest book of the kind extant. We have had a practical test of the acceptability of the book, and a promise of a rapid sale in New York renders us confident in recommending it as a profitable investment to booksellers and publishers of other cities.
