Stuart, of Virginia; was elected Sergeant at Arms of the Democratic National Committee in 1928; served as the Sergeant at Arms during the Democratic National Conventions at Houston, Tex., in 1928; at Chicago, Ill., in 1932; and at Philadelphia, Pa., in 1936; has served continuously as an employee of the Senate in various capacities since December 6, 1897, and during this period served 16 years in the Press Gallery; married Miss Mary Younger, of Lynchburg, Va., March 14, 1917, and they have one son- -Edwin A.
