birth was referred to the House of Peers, who
decided against him. It is however to be ob-
served, that notwithstanding this decision,
the House of Peers of Ireland afterwards so-

lemnly adjudged, that he was born in lawful wedlock. In 1793 he was Created Earl of Mountnorris, in Ireland; and the Title of Anglesey has since been conferred on
