Government Printing Office Preface This is one of five books which constitute Title 32—National Defense, revised as of December 31, 1954. A single volume entitled "Title 32— National Defense and Title 34—National Military Establishment" was published in 1949. This was replaced by two books, revised as of December 31, 1951. These five books replace the 1951 Revision, and become an integral part of the Code of Federal Regulations. In consolidating the material contained in the 1951 Revision with subsequent changes and additions, there have been included all rules and regulations, general and permanent in nature, duly published in the Federal Register on or before December 31, 1954, and effective as to facts arising on and after January 1, 1955.
