The Board of Home Missions herewith respectfully submits its Annual Report to the General Assembly, the one hundred and second Report since the organization of home mission work under the care of the Assembly. We mourn the loss of the following men who have been called from their labors in the Church below and have joined the blessed company in the Church on high: Rev. SAMUEL H. WELLER, D.D.. Rev. ERWIN D. The Board records its grateful appreciation of the service these servants of Christ were permitted to perform for His Kingdom, and extends its respectful sympathy to their families and kindred in their sore bereavement. SPECIAL FEATURES. The last General Assembly took action directing the Board "to designate an officer to have oversight of mission work among the foreign-speaking peoples in this country in all the synods directly connected with the Board." In accordance with this direction the Board appointed the Rev. John Dixon, D.D., to give special attention to this work along with the other duties assigned to him.
