Appropriating money for the payment of bounties for the destruction of wild animals in the state of Nebraska.

WHEREAS, At the fourteenth (14) session of the legis- Preamble. lative assembly of the state of Nebraska, an act was passed providing for the payment of bounties for the destruction of wild animals in the state of Nebraska; and, WHEREAS, Said legislative assembly made no appropriation for the payment of said bounties; therefore

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska:

AN ACT

To appropriate money to pay the expense of David Anderson and
Simon C. Ayer, incurred in pursuing and capturing Samuel D.
Richards, and bringing him to the state of Nebraska for trial.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Nebraska: SECTION 1. That the sum of five hundred and ninetyAnderson and one dollars, be, and the same is hereby appropriated out for capturing of any funds of this state not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of paying the same to David Anderson and Simon C. Ayer to reimburse them for that amount of money paid out and expended by them and for full payment for their services in the pursuing, capturing, and returning Samuel D. Richards to the state of Nebraska, upon the charge of murdering Mrs. Harlson and others, in the county of Kearney, Nebraska.

SEO. 2. The auditor of public accounts is hereby directed to draw his warrant upon the treasurer of this state for said sum of five hundred and ninety-one dollars in favor of said David Anderson and Simon C. Ayer. Approved February 24, A.D. 1879.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska:

Appropriation for incidental expenses of legislature.

AN ACT

To provide for the payment of the incidental expenses incurred during the fifteenth session of the legislature.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska :

SECTION 1. That the sum of fifteen thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary is hereby appro priated from the general fund of the state treasury out of any money not otherwise appropriated, for the payment of the incidental expenses of both houses of the legislature, including printing, stationery, newspapers, postage, fuel, lights, and any other special expense which may be incurred under any resolution of either house duly passed and entered upon the journal thereof.

SEC. 2. All accounts for any expense provided for in section one of this act shall be examined by the standing committee on finance, ways, and means of the house to which such expense is properly chargeable, and if approved by said committee shall be duly certified to the auditor of public accounts, and upon the examination and adjustment thereof by the said auditor and approval thereof by the secretary of state, the auditor of public accounts is hereby authorized and required to draw his warrant for the amount therein specified upon the general fund of the state treasury.

SEC. 3. Whereas an emergency exists for the taking effect of this act, in that there is a public necessity for the payment of the expenses mentioned in section one of this act, therefore this act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

AN ACT

To provide for the payment of the salaries of the officers of the state government, penitentiary, hospital for insane, institutes for the blind, and deaf and dumb for years 1879 and 1880.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska :

That the following sums, or so much Appropriation thereof as may be necessary, are hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the state treasury not otherwise appropriated for the payment of the salaries of the officers of the state government for the two years beginning with the second fiscal quarter of theyear 1879, and ending with the expiration of the first fiscal quarter of the year 1881, and for the payment of the salaries of the official stenographers for the first fiscal quarter of the year 1879:
