The "Songs introduced in the proceffion on laying the foundation of a new College in Edinburgh," were of his compofing; and in London, where he refided till within a few weeks of his death, his literary labours in feveral periodical publications were most abundant. He occafionally officiated as a clergyman, though he had no settled charge.
