We have first with us Dr. Stanley Watson, assistant director, bio- chemical research, CPC International, Argo, Ill.

Mr. Chairman and committee members: I am Dr. Stanley A. Watson, assistant director, biochemical research, CPC International, Inc., Argo, Ill. I am appearing as the chairman of the research committee of the National Grain and Feed Association.
The National Grain and Feed Association membership consists of 1,300 members who are country and terminal elevators and ware- houses, grain processors, millers, feed manufacturers, terminal ele- vators, and exporters. Fifty-one State and regional associations are affiliated with the national association and these associations have ap- proximately 14,000 members. Our member firms are involved in con- ditioning, handling, processing, and marketing grain and grain prod- ucts from the grain farmer to the livestock feeder, poultryman, and the final consumer of rain and meat products.
