AUTHORIZATION: 1966 Flood Control Act as amended by the River Basin Monetary Authorization Act of 1971 and the Water BENEFIT TO COST RATIO: The remaining benefit-remaining cost ratio is 2.1 to 1 at 4-5/8 percent. The benefit-cost ratio for the fiscal year for which Congress appropriated initial land acquisition funds (FY 1970) was 1.7 to 1. The ratio is based on Stonewall Jackson Lake functioning independently in the West Fork River Basin and as the last added increment to the existing reservoir system in the Monongahela River Basin as of 1970. Minor benefits which will accrue on the Ohio River have not been included in the benefit-cost ratio.
