REQUIREMENT: This facility is required to house Troop E, 151st Cavalary consisting of 168 personnel. This armory will provide the necessary administration, indoor training areas and storage of equipment space to achieve the proficiency in required training and to accomplish the assigned readiness objectives. Real estate provided by local government. CURRENT SITUATION: The present Armory was constructed in 1929. This -structure is inadequate and substandard to a detrimental degree for the operation, maintenance and training of the ARNG unit assigned. This facility is located in such a manner as to inhibit the vehicle storage, off-street parking and the training of the unit. The existing Armory is State owned and will be sold when proposed construction is authorized.
