FIFTH SUNDAY AFTER EASTER.

cannot bear them now. Howbeit, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak : and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

The fifth Sunday after Easter.

THE COLLECT.

LORD, from whom all good things do come; Grant to us thy humble servants, that by thy holy inspiration we may think those things that be good, and by thy merciful guiding may perform the same; through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

THE EPISTLE. St. James i. 22.

E ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the Word, and not

But

a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his
natural face in a glass. For he beholdeth him-
self, and goeth his way, and straightway for
getteth what manner of man he was.
whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty,
and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful
hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be
blessed in his deed. If any man among you
seem to be religious, and bridleth not his
tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's
religion is vain. Pure religion, and undefiled
before God and the Father, is this, To visit the
fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to
keep himself unspotted from the world.

EVENING PRAYER.

¶ Or else this Praim; except it be on the Twelfth Duy of the Month.

DEUS MISEREATUR. Psalm lxvii.

OD be merciful unto us, and bless us :
and shew us the light of his counten-
ance, and be merciful unto us:

That thy way may be known upon earth: thy saving health among all nations."

Let the people praise thee, O God: yea, let all the people praise thee.

O let the nations rejoice and be glad : for thou shalt judge the folk righteously, and govern the nations upon earth.

Let the people praise thee, O God: yea, let all the people praise thee.

Then shall the earth bring forth her increase: and God, even our own God, shall give us his blessing.

God shall bless us and all the ends of the world shall fear him.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son : and

to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen.

Then shall be said or sung the Apostles' Creed by
the Minister and the people, standing.

BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth:

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the Virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, dead, and buried, He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead, He ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost; The holy Catholick Church; The Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins: The Resurrection of the body, And the life everlasting. Amen.
