AUDIT

[blocks in formation]

1 These accounts are additional to Indian tribal accounting matters reported elsewhere, for volume of which see p. 124.

2 Under the procedure for advanced postaudit referred to on pp. 85 and 86 of 1930 report and pp. 86 and 87 of 1931 report, and pp. 74, 75 of this report, the actual settlement of accounts is delayed to permit the adjustment of differences. It may be said, therefore, that while the above report shows a large number of accounts on hand as unsettled, the examination and preliminary settlement work have been completed on all but the usual working balance.
