Traders at Military Posts.

General Orders, No. 58, of May 24, 1867, is modified so as to permit any persons, without limit as to number, to trade at the military posts situated between the one hundredth meridian of longitude west from Greenwich and the Eastern boundary of the State of California, subject only to such regulations and restrictions as may be imposed by Department Commanders.

I.. The following named Cadets, graduates of the Military Academy, are hereby appointed in the Army of the United States, with the rank indicated below, to date from June 17, 1867:

Corps of Engineers.

1. Cadet Ernest H. Ruffner, to be 2d Lieutenant, vice Gregory, promoted, and to be 1st Lieutenant, vice Allen promoted.

2. Cadet John C. Mallery, to be 2d Lieutenant, vice Adams promoted, and to be 1st Lieutenant, vice Raymond, promoted.
