Of the eightyfour papers received, thirty are being peer reviewed by academic, government, and business experts; thirty-two are in the editing process; and twenty are ready for printing by the Government Printing Office. Further, the Special Study is now well into the "integration phase": preliminary overview reports have been received from each of the ten Study Area Directors. Over the coming months considerable effort will be expended both on weaving together the component parts of the Study in order to show how they relate and interact, and on developing a range of economic policy options for the Congress. |
