[NOTE.-The late Mr. Tuer's extensive collection of Children's Books, belonging principally to the last century and the first twenty-five years of this, was principally made up into parcels

comprising, in some instances, as many as twenty-five separate publications. Very few works were sold singly, but those so disposed of are reported below. The series of Horn-Books consisted of 45 examples-about one-third of the total number known-most of which are described in Tuer's "History of the Horn-Book." These Horn-Books realised £269 5s.-ED.]
