The Meteorological Society at Mauheim, by a letter from their Secretary, M. HEMMAR, to Profeffor WILLIAMS, have announced their intention of presenting to the University at CAMBRIDGE, a complete Set of Meteorological Inftruments. This donation will be at the expence of His SERENE HIGHNESS the ELECTOR PALATINE. Thefe Inftruments are the most exact of any that have yet been made; and they have been diftributed throughout Europe, that obfervations made in different places, may admit of the most accurate comparifon. This generous offer (the first of the kind that has been made to any part of America) was in confequence of the obfervations made bere for feveral years years paft, being communicated to that illuftrious Society.

The following eftimate has been formed of the inhabitants of all Germany. According to this the numbers are as follows: Bohemia, Moravia,

At Plaiflow, in New-Hampshire lately, Mrs. Hannah Belknap, aged 106 years, 11 months. She retained her mental faculties to the day of her death.
